Sam’s primary focus is in serious injury cases involving traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), wrongful death, or serious personal injury cases involving product liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, pharmacy malpractice, boating accidents, aviation disasters, and negligent security.
A member of the Brain Injury Association of Florida and respected expert in his field, Sam lectures nationally on the issue of traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury to industry leaders, insurance company executives, and judges. In addition, Sam holds an annual personal injury boot camp for practitioners who want to learn more about the basics of personal injury claims. Sam also presents on law office technology, paperless law office strategy, focus groups, and the power of persuasion in the courtroom and beyond.
Sam began his career as a partner at a prominent insurance defense law firm, where he practiced for a decade, and later as a partner at a boutique law firm that focused upon plaintiff-only representation. He is well-recognized for his accomplishments in his field. He has received the Broward County Bar Association’s Joseph C. Carter Professionalism Award for exemplifying the highest ideals of professionalism in law practice and in life. He was listed in Super Lawyers Magazine as among the top 5% of attorneys practicing law in the local community; he is also listed in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
In addition, Sam is an associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an EAGLE member of the Florida Justice Association,and a member of the Broward County Bar Association, the Broward County Justice Association, The American Association for Justice, The Florida Bar, and the Board of Directors of the Florida Justice Association.Sam is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts and before the United States Federal District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
Sam received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Haven in 1991, and his Juris Doctor from the University Of Miami School Of Law in 1995.
